Duotone printing is a printing process in which the image is printed using two ink colours. In the above images I used black ink and one of each of the tones in my printer to experiment with the technique. Today I am experimenting with my printer and duotone printing through PhotoShop. This first set of prints were taken from my initial character designs. This project is my first real experience with painting in PhotoShop as I recently got a drawing tablet. I was woking with brushes and learning how to manipulate them in a way that lerts me work in my style.
To further test this I took a scan of a screen print from my “the Expedition” project and made examples of it showcasing the results of duotone (left) and tritone (right) printing using multiple colours. This showcases the options you have more because I chose to use colours rather than one colour and a black.
